Sipp provider looks to IFA firm for pensions buy
Sipp provider Talbot and Muir has acquired The Pensions Partnership Limited, the pensions administration business run by advice firm Group IFA.
The Pensions Partnership specialises in Sipp and SSAS administration and is based in Leeds.
The deal will bring some 380 Sipps and 360 SSASs under Talbot and Muir’s control once it completes.
The Sipp book will be administered in the current Talbot and Muir office in Nottingham and the SSASs will continue to be administered out of the existing Leeds office. Talbot and Muir will take over the lease on the Leeds office, keeping on The Pensions Partnership’s current staff.
Group IFA chief executive Phil Rose says the firm will continue to provide advice to its existing clients, while being able to provide a “personalised administration service” to them through the Tablot and Muir deal.
Talbot and Muir director Graham Muir says: “The acquisition of The Pensions Partnership from Group IFA is another important part of our growth strategy. We have been looking to expand our footprint in the north of England and this business provides an excellent opportunity for us to do this.
“We do not undertake acquisitions lightly and it is important to identify those businesses that are well run and have high quality staff. The Pensions Partnership satisfies all of that criteria and we look forward to having the staff and their clients join us.”
