Will joined Suffolk Life in 2003 having completed his first degree in Oceanography at Southampton University. He completed his MBA from Cranfield University in 2010 and was made a director of Suffolk Life in the same year initially as Operations Director and subsequently as Product and Operations in 2012. Will became Managing Director in 2013 and during 2015 was also CCO of Cofunds, a sister company within L&G. He led the strategic review during 2015 which lead to the sale to Curtis Banks in January 2016. Will joined the group board in 2016 as Deputy CEO before becoming Group CEO in January 2019. Will was appointed to the FCA Smaller Business Practitioner Panel in October 2020 and represents the life and Pensions sector within the FCA. Will is also Vice Chair and a Trustee of East Anglia’s Children’s Hospice (EACH) and lives in Suffolk with his wife and two young daughters.
Following the acquisition of Talbot and Muir in 2020, Will holds the position of Chairman for Talbot and Muir.
Jane has many years’ experience of working for a large pension provider, working closely with advisers to deliver their clients’ needs in a sales and operational capacity. 15 years’ experience working directly with IFAs led her to take a role as Investment Development Director in 2009. She then progressed to Product Director, responsible for the design and development of workplace savings, investment and product proposition. Jane joined Suffolk Life as Operations Director in September 2013. Her role expanded to cover Human Resources in March 2016 before assuming the role of Chief Operating Officer for the Curtis Banks Group in April 2018.
Following the acquisition of Talbot and Muir in 2020, Jane holds the position of Chief Executive Officer for Talbot and Muir.
Dan is a Fellow of the ICAEW, having qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Young in 1997. Having worked in EY’s Banking and Capital Markets group, Dan moved to the WestLB owned Panmure Gordon business where he spent seven years in various finance roles, latterly as the Head of Finance. Dan performed senior finance roles at Lehman Brothers, Macquarie Bank and Shore Capital Stockbrokers before being appointed to the Board of WH Ireland plc in March 2014 as Finance Director. Dan joined Curtis Banks in July 2019 as the Group’s Chief Financial Officer.
Following the acquisition of Talbot and Muir in 2020, Dan holds the position of Director for Talbot and Muir.
Graham originally trained as a Chartered Accountant before embarking on a career within the pensions industry. Graham draws upon this experience now when dealing with many of his professional connection and their clients. After six years of working in the SSAS/SIPP administration industry, during which Graham undertook a number of roles ranging from consultancy to discretionary fund management, Graham joined forces with Brian Talbot to establish Talbot and Muir in 1993 and TM SIPP Services in 2000.
David brings a wealth of experience in working within the self invested pensions market. He was previously involved in the banking sector and, since moving into the pensions industry, has held senior positions with some of the most well-known and highly-regarded organisations in the market. David joined Brian Talbot and Graham Muir in 2003, when Southall Asset Management was acquired by Talbot and Muir.
Paul has been involved in the financial services industry for all of his working life. After spending nine years gaining experience with life assurance companies, he joined Talbot and Muir in 1995 as a SSAS Administrator. Paul now heads up the firm’s entire administration function, and during his many years with us has gained considerable knowledge and technical expertise in the SSAS and SIPP fields.
Jacqui’s career in financial services started at Standard Life where she worked for over a decade. Her last role at Standard Life, as Branch Office Manager, included providing technical and administrative support for professional advisers focusing on pensions. In 1987, she joined an adviser firm and continued her specialism in pensions and undertook a variety of roles, culminating in being appointed Technical & Compliance Director. Jacqui is now Talbot and Muir’s Compliance Officer, and has responsibility for all regulatory and compliance issues.
Pete has worked in pensions administration for many years. He spent five years at Prudential where he worked in numerous back office roles before joining Talbot and Muir in 2002 as a SIPP Administrator. Pete now manages the firm’s SIPP administration function, supervising and training our team of SIPP Administrators.
Tom started his career in the pensions industry at Winterthur Life (now AXA Wealth), where he was later selected to develop their SIPP product. He joined Talbot and Muir in 2009 as a SIPP Administrator, and moved to the SSAS department after several years to gain further experience in the self-administered pensions field. Tom now manages the firm’s SSAS administration function, overseeing SSAS establishments and takeovers as well as supervising our team of SSAS Administrators.
Chris joined Talbot and Muir in 2013, bringing with him 30 years experience in Life and Pensions. His career has mostly been within the branch networks of Clerical Medical and more recently Aegon UK, where he was a Sales Support Manager responsible for new business sales support. Chris also spent several years working within the IFA side of the industry and so is fully aware of the importance of good service. Chris now heads up the Adviser Support function at Talbot and Muir.
Gemma joined Talbot and Muir in 2016, bringing with her 15 plus years experience in Pensions. Her career has mostly been within the SIPP and SSAS industry, growing relationships and supporting advisers and also gaining considerable knowledge and technical expertise in this field. Gemma continues to develop adviser and introducer relationships throughout Wales and South West for Talbot and Muir.
In her spare time Gemma can be found on the golf course working on her handicap.
Michael joined Talbot and Muir in 2016, following 30 years of working with 3 of the UK’s leading life offices, supporting the London region intermediary adviser market place.
Michael has a wealth of experience in SIPP and SSAS and enjoys building strong relationships and providing dedicated support and technical expertise to his London Adviser firms.
Outside work, Michael enjoys long country walks followed by a beer or two!
After graduating from the University of Liverpool with a Masters in Mathematics, David had a brief spell as a Data Analyst at Boots before joining Talbot and Muir in February 2015. Two years spent as a SSAS administrator, where he developed his working knowledge of SSAS, was followed by a promotion to the firm’s Adviser Support Team. David has continued to build his technical knowledge of the SIPP and SSAS market and holds the CII Diploma in Financial Planning.
David’s role now sees him working with advisers throughout the East of England to assist with their SIPP and SSAS clients.
Away from work, David enjoys watching and playing sport, most notably football, squash and golf.
