Focus 109 – Spiralling SSAS Fees

Over the last few days we have had a number of enquiries about potential SSAS takeovers, driven by the fact that existing SSAS providers have significantly increased their fees and altered  their associated terms and conditions.  In some of these cases the existing provider is willing to waive their exit fees if the client chooses to transfer to an alternative provider within 90 days of the initial notification.

With that in mind you may be interested in our free SSAS review service.  Our review will mainly focus on the administration, structure and pricing of the SSAS, and once complete, will provide you with an opinion covering the following areas:

  • Whether the scheme’s Trust deed and rules require updating to bring the scheme in line with current pension legislation.

  • A brief comment on any issue that may be evident with the schemes assets.

  • Guidance on any matters that appear to suggest the scheme is not compliant with current HMRC rules and offer a solution where possible.

  • Details of how Talbot and Muir can assist with the ongoing administration of the scheme together with costings for any additional work that may be required to put the scheme back into a HMRC compliant position.
